Couldn't Pay Me

For the past couple years I have been loving the revival of the headband (Thank You Gossip Girl) but when Marc Jacobs for LV went all rabbit on us, I was appalled. He had models like Jessica Stam prancing down the runway wearing Bunny Ears. I wasn't sure if these Bunny Ears would ever become mainstream and become the new "Must Have" item. All I know is that you couldn't pay me to wear them out. I'm all for trying bows, feathers but morphing into a rabbit just isn't my thing. I did a little research to see if I can purchase my own pair for the fraction of the Louis Vuitton price tag. I found that Top Shop offers a Bunny Ear Headband for $39.99.

30 Birthday Candles

I can't believe that tonight I am going out to celebrate my brothers birthday. With him turning 30 it really got me thinking of all the things that I would like to accomplish before I turn the big 3-0. As I started making a list, I remembered an article that a friend emailed me a few months ago. The article was written in 1997 for Glamour Magazine and stated all the things you should have and should know by the time you are 30.

After rereading the article I decided that I would leave some of her "To Do's" on my list but I would also omit and add some others.

When I'm 30, I should have...

1. A decent savings account that allows me to splurge from time to time. (My Splurge)

2. A boyfriend that loves my friends, my family, my flaws, and allows me to be myself. Also, a boyfriend that loves to clean and cook would be an extra perk.

3. The ability to be able to throw a dinner party on my own. This meaning that I actually am cooking the entire thing, no takeout.

4. How to quit a job, break up with a man, and confront a friend without ruining a friendship. This one is stolen from the Glamour article but just thinking about confrontation gets me uncomfortable.

5. To own my own place. I hope that in the next seven years I don't continue to throw money away on rent but instead am able to build equity and buy my own place.

6. I hope the last time that I really traveled wasn't my Junior year of college.

Check out the article and let me know your thoughts.

On the Rocks and Hold the Salt

It is a little bit after 11 pm and I decided that tonight I am finally going to start my own blog. This is something that I have been thinking about doing for quite sometime. Ok, I Lie.

Actually the idea came to me when I was having a few margarita's with my girlfriends. We all hadn't seen each other for a couple of months, so when you get us all together and then add tequila into the mix the stories get even better and blurrier. Anyways, the idea was brought up when I was telling some story and at the end my friends said that I should think about writing a blog. They said the would love to hear my stories and thoughts daily. So after the hangover from the margs wore off I decided to finally start writing one...about 2 months later.

I can honestly say that I read just about anyone and every ones blogs and I find myself getting sucked in their world. My goal for this blog is to have a little bit of something for every individual. I hope that my blog feels accessible to all and is a fun environment.
